This is my first time being a part of Ganesh Chaturthi in India.
It was with my relatives in Bangalore.
The morning i woke up very early..earlier than the usual time.Why??
Because it was Ganesh Chaturthi morning and the sun has started to rise.
That morning i bath earlier than my relatives because they were still sleeping.
Then,everyone got ready to prepare for the day.
They already prepare the altar to place the Lord Ganesh .
After that, I followed my uncles and cousins to buy the clay made Lord Ganesh idol.
Why clay made Lord Ganesha because it is easier to soak and melt the idol in the sea, river or pond without letting them float in the water like a form of pollution.
I did the thing is most do not like to do; walking barefooted at the market.
I had to do it because it is Ganesh Chaturthi and we should not wear any footwear when we are buying the statue or idol due to respect to the Lord.
Then, I followed my uncle to the market to buy more vegetables and fruits to be served to Lord.
Again I walked without any footwear which made me disgusted at one point where I accidentally stepped on a crushed vegetable.
We reached home and waited for the pooja to begin. I went in the room and continue read my novel, Ravenheart and fallen asleep.
I woke up as there are calling everyone to join the pooja for the Lord Ganesh.
I did my part in the pooja and then the lunch arrived.
After the lunch, my cousin brought me to one of his friend's Lord Ganesha exhibition.
They did well with a pond and mountain form and in the hollow the Lord Ganesha rests.
The pond also have some ducks and lotus. I will upload the picture after I got it.
Then, I may regret following my cousin there(lol) , the friend had asked as to eat in the house while we both were already full with the earlier lunch.We tried to explain that which went vain and we still ate there rather a little which made my stomach bigger and pain was radiating plus I was feel like vomitting.
Then, we went on to see more Lord Ganesha exhibition which was made on each streets .
They all were decorated well.
Finally at the evening we followed a procession of the Lord Ganesha. It had a huge drumming by some drummers following the proceesion. They went through the streets under them.
The procession was a bit tainted by some waste and maybe drunk young lads who danced in for the music of the drums but insisted the music to continue and obstructing the movement of the procession. They were made to give away and told properly as the organisers do not want any problem with them but yet they did not listen well. However the procession reached the destination properly.
Then, we went back home to soak our Lord Ganesha. We brought the Lord's idol to a nearest pond.
There were others as well who were doing the same.
We prayed to our idol and passed for it to be soaked and melted away.
That was the end of the day of Ganesh Chaturthi.
